We love this little one movie at a time place! Little ones are welcome and it's very family friendly. Rows of seats with coffee tables for all. The popcorn is fresh and really good. You can order hot food from pizza to salad to burgers. Fair pricing. The pizza is a must. Pitchers of kiddie drinks and beer are available. It's old style all the way, but clean.
I love this place, whether for a movie and a meal or just the bar for their lunch special, or to watch a game.
We love the Dunellen theater. We always go there to see movies with the kids. Its a historic theater with memorabilia on the wall in the lobby. It is a bit run down, but I think that gives it so much charm. We always go there with the kids earlier in the day because they are young and can get a little rowdy. We get a couple of pizzas, a pitcher of juice and enjoy the movie. They have tables in every row for your food.
This place is a hidden gem and a staple in the area. The food is really good and the cost is reasonable. Parents can have pizza, beer and wings while kids can have chicken fingers, popcorn etc. It's a great place for families and people are relaxed and don't judge you if your kid cries or talks during the movie. The atmosphere is super relaxed. It has a vintage feel. It's a bit run down, but it gives it charm. I don't think the experience would be the same if it was renovated. The only thing is it gets cold in the winter time. You need to bring a heavy sweatshirt or blanket.
Simple, lovely, traditional... What else? Is a nice cozy movie theater with attached a sport bar.... Unfortunately we don't see those places anymore around.
Unbeatable price. Not gourmet.. Just the right balance.
